Easy Apple Onion Brie Triangle Bites

Once you allow butter puff pasty into your life, the possibilities are endless. Throw anything on a wedge of butter puff pastry and you have an instant appetizer. This pastry takes hours to make from scratch, but can likely be bought in the freezer section of your local grocery store for a mere three dollars. So worth it.

Ingredients:

Butter puff pastry

Apple

Onion

Brie

Balsamic vinegar

Let your butter puff pastry thaw on your counter top for about an hour, or at least while you are preparing the topping.

Dice your onion and cook in a frying pan on medium low.

Add a spoonful of balsamic vinegar to the onions when they start to brown.

Dice an apple.

Add the apples to the onions and let everything brown evenly.  This will only take a minute!

Roll out your butter puff pastry and cut into triangles.  Or any shape you prefer.  Your package of pastry will likely have two sheets of pastry.  I made both which resulted in 48 bite sized triangles.

Slice your brie into tiny pieces.  You don’t require much brie.  Buy the smallest package you can.

I transferred the onion-apple mixture into a little bowl to make it easier to spoon onto the triangles.

Top each pastry triangle with a little spoon of apple-onion mixture and a little slice of brie.

Bake for about 25 minutes at 375 degrees.
